What is a Child-Parent Center?
The Child-Parent Centers (CPC) program is an early childhood preschool model that emphasizes education and services for children ages 3-4 and their families.  CPCs provide comprehensive educational and family support with the help of a  Head Teacher, Parent Resource Teacher and a School Community Representative.

Parents are encouraged to take an active role in their children's education by contributing at least 2.5 hours a week either volunteering at the school or working with their children at home.

Why Burke Child-Parent Center?
Burke Child-Parent Center Staff and Teaching Teams are dedicated to providing a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for all students, parents and families.  Your child will engage in high-quality, hands-on learning experiences that will prepare them for Kindergarten and student success.  They will engage in activities that will develop their academic and social-emotional growth focusing on our Burke CPC Race to 10K skills, ten core skills from Creative Curriculum.

We believe that parents are the core of student success.  We offer parenting classes, classroom volunteer training, workshops, cooking experiences, parent field trips, employment support, community resources, host Principal Talks, virtual programming and more.  There are so many ways to support your child and volunteer to earn your 2.5 hours. Visit our Parent Room to learn more!
